Art in the Park
Community project in Andy Livingston Park, Vancouver BC, 2022
Art in the Park was a summer-long community project in Vancouver’s Andy Livingstone Park in collaboration with Elder Les Nelson. Building upon the previous Our Park Project, the project enabled community members to gather, draw and screen-print imagery onto textiles amidst the surrounding pressures of gentrification and the toxic drug crisis. The project concluded with a community procession through the park featuring a parade of screenprinted puppets interconnected with braided fabric.
