Zimmerli Art Museum, New Brunswick NJ

Decommissioned airplane banner, 300”x324”, 2026

A fringe curtain made from the remains of an aerial advertisement that once flew along the Jersey Shore. The reclaimed banner—worn from past flights—was shredded and installed at the Zimmerli Museum. The installation was activated by the museum’s air conditioning system as visitors passed through to ascend the stairway to the upper galleries.
