Every Day is new in the city (texada)
Texada considers the linked transformation of Vancouver's downtown landscape and a 900 hectare limestone quarry on Texada Island—the major supplier of the limestone used in city’s concrete construction. Working with the CBC archives, imagery was sourced related to the 2010 Olympic construction boom which marked a significant shift in Vancouver's redevelopment. The archival images were printed onto textiles and installed at the active quarry on Texada Island, the largest of the local Gulf Islands.
